CyberUp and TechSTL Anchor St. Louis’ Emerging Innovation District with Move to
Downtown North
ST. LOUIS — CyberUp and TechSTL have announced their relocation to The Post Building in Downtown North, marking a significant investment in St. Louis’ growing innovation economy and reinforcing the city’s expanding leadership in technology, cybersecurity, data, and intelligence-driven industries.
The move builds on the region’s long-standing global strength in medical researc
biomedical science, and advanced manufacturing, signaling a broader evolution toward a diversified, future-ready economy rooted in local talent and entrepreneurship.
CyberUp is nationally recognized for building a more inclusive cybersecurity workforce through youth education, technical training, and registered apprenticeships. The organization has reached more than 2,500 K-12 students, trained over 600 adults through its LevelUp programs, and maintains a 95% apprenticeship completion rate—helping position St. Louis as a leader in cybersecurity talent development.
TechSTL, the region’s founding Tech Council, serves the largest and most diverse
professional tech network in the St. Louis area, connecting talent, startups, anchor
institutions, and industry partners. A City of St. Louis–based 501(c)(6), TechSTL is
establishing a long-term hub at The Post Building to deliver workforce programs,
bootcamps, and industry-driven initiatives that expand access to opportunity and
strengthen the region’s tech ecosystem.
TechSTL also manages the StartupSTL initiative to support the entrepreneurial
ecosystem of the Metro, which is funded by the Missouri Technology Corporation.
Serving as a data steward, TechSTL recently released the 2025 StartupSTL Study, which reported startup growth increasing 50% and job creation rising 34% in just one
year—evidence that locally owned businesses are driving economic momentum, particularly in professional and technical services.
“The decision by CyberUp and TechSTL to locate in Downtown North reflects
exactly the kind of momentum Downtown Forward is working to accelerate,” said
Matt O’Leary, Executive Director, Downtown Forward. “This is what progress
looks like—mission-driven organizations choosing to invest in the urban core,
strengthen connectivity, and help reshape how our region experiences downtown
as a place to work, walk, collaborate, and build the future.”
Located in Downtown North, The Post Building has emerged as a center for innovation and collaboration, already home to companies including Square, Block, and Scale AI, along with federal and civic partners. Its growing tenant mix reflects renewed confidence in St. Louis as a place where companies can grow, talent can thrive, and ideas can scale.
With CyberUp and TechSTL establishing a presence at The Post Building, St. Louis is
extending an open invitation to entrepreneurs, technologists, educators, and
mission-driven organizations ready to build what’s next.
Organizations seeking to grow in a city defined by innovation, resilience, and opportunity are encouraged to join the Downtown North innovation community and take part in shaping the next chapter of St. Louis’ economy.
The future of St. Louis is being built here.
